This is a good book but there have been some major changes to the Florida Landlord Tenant statutes as of July 2013. All leases have to be modified, for example, or amended by mid January 2014 to add new language regarding security deposits reflected in the current statutes. You have to make sure you have a copy of the changes, many of which were favorable to Landlords, when using this book. I was disappointed the author does not clearly explain how to move from the eviction process to claiming damages, how to collect judgements and post them to credit sites so a bad tenant doesn't run their scam on another landlord. It seems to be assumed that at these levels, you'll have an attorney working for you or will just not bother. At $200-$300 an hour with limited chances for collection, it doesn't make sense for us to hire someone to follow up on collections after our first eviction this week. Also, it would be nice to have either a CD with fillable forms, a link to a website for purchasers to download the forms so they don't have to be re-typed, or a tear out option so the forms can be copied without distortion from the book spine. We have, though, studied Warda's guide from cover to cover and found it will help us as newer landlords to prevent future problems and protect ourselves. There is a lot of good advise offered--I wish I had gotten it earlier instead of "property management for dummies."

It seems the author know what he is talking about. But there are several things that make this book a bad purchase.1. Several typos and words that were missing or left out of the sentences throughout the book make me think it was made in someone's basement or something. Very unprofessional. But still this may be nitpicking. It was when I can across the page that was missin completely. Not only is page 122 missing, they printed page 120 AGAIN in its place.2. It repeats itself several times throught the book. Not just ideas or sentences. Entire paragraphs, sections, or even pages. So the book has 270 pages. Minus the back half of the book that is appendices, forms, and other things that can be helpful you are left with 129 pages. Minus the amount of times and sections he repeats himself you are left with about 70-80 pages of information.3. He touches on some sections in detail and others only a paragraph or two. Take for example how to evict someone, it's mentioned briefly about sending a notice to the tenant. Nothing else. Nothing about what to do if they don't leave, going down to the courthouse, or using law enforcement.Overall the book has some good thoughts but I could narrow the entire thing down to a few helpful tips. It is very disorganized and has no real structure to the information provided. The lack of organization and professionalism in the book makes me question wether I can depend on the forms and tips provided in the book to hold up legally.

Even though this is book is not current with 2015, it is a great overview of what NOT to do and a valuable asset if you have a rental and are new to the business. Easy to understand for everyday "Joe" and reference forms in back an added bonus, altho' I am a typist, so don't mind re-creating them. Websites online easily update the laws so you are current with 2015

I followed the author's instructions step by step and was able to evict my tenant in under 20 days without an attorney, who wanted $3500. This book is a MUST for any Landlord BEFORE writing a lease too. Don't rent without it!

I have been a Florida Landlord for years and this is where I go when I want to be sure my actions are well within the law to protect me and my clients. Forms sample leases plus actual cases keep the landlord or in my case Realtor on the straight and narrow down what can be a very crooked road.

CAUTION: This book may cause intense feelings of inspiration, increased motivation, and can lead to a runner's high.This is one of those books you read and think, "Oh my god, me too!" Reading about women that could easily be your sister, neighbor, or friend and their extraordinary accomplishments is invigorating. I used to think I was the only one tuned into "Radio KFUQD," but the vignettes in this book illustrate that self-doubt is not only common, it's beatable. You will feel like you can conquer the world when you read this.

I really can't say enough about this book. As someone who was un-athletic in her youth and dicovered the joy of running and general gym-going in the past few years (late 20s), I feel confident stating that this is a book for everyone - athletes, non-athletes, sort-of-athletes, you get the picture. I was worried that like many books in this genre, it would be a poorly-written, juvenile, kind of cheesy read. My fears were so unfounded - the writing and the message are both well-developed, nuanced, and leave the reader wanting more.I can't really do justice to this book through a review, but I think the fact that I'm considering buying about a dozen copies to give as gifts to some amazing (both athletic and non-athletic) women in my life says it all. The strength and confidence that I've found through reading this book has really caught me by surprise, especially since I didn't know I was missing any of that strength or confidence.

Reading this book puts me to sleep, not inspirational

Given the choice between exercise and cocktails after a long day, I've always opted for the latter. As I get older and fitness becomes more important, I've been looking for ways to incorporate exercise into my busy schedule. I even dabbled in a triathlon for the first time last year to give me a kick start to building a routine. Even then, I've been a weekend athlete at best.Reading Run Like a Girl has lit a fire under my derriere! The book is full of insights and inspiration from the author and from the women she introduces in the book (go girls!). While there's a heroic aspect to all of them, each is just a "girl next door" making this book accessible and enjoyable for anyone. In addition to a few practical tips that I will put to use right away, I have the stories and images of the women in my head to access when I need them to cheer me on if training gets tough...or I can't get myself off the couch! I've already bought a couple of copies for friends who could use a gentle nugde towards fitness.

I bought 3 copies of this book after seeing the author on the Today Show. I bought one for me, one for my daughter and one for my neice - to share with her mother, my sister. I've really enjoyed the principles laid out and think they apply for lots of parts of life, not just athletics. Balance is always a struggle and the author does a good job of presenting this idea in all activities. I think it will be especially useful to my 27 year old daughter. One caution: after reading the book I am hesitant to send it to my socially and politically very conservative neice and her mom. My sister is easily offended by views and language that are more liberal in nature than she is. I would take this into consideration if you are buying the book for a gift.

This book has inspired me to get into running. I am 56 years old, overweight, out of shape and haven't run since high school, and even back then, I only did what I had to do. Running a 5K is now on my bucket list. I signed up for one and am in the process of training 3 days a week now. It's not been easy, but I am making progress every single week. Thanks to this book, I am doing something I never believed I would or could do.

I had read QUEEN OF CUPS by the same author and loved it, especially its surprising conclusion. Frankly, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed RUN LIKE A GIRL since mehinks I am not a member of the target audience.It is an important and inspirational work and it resonates in the same way HOPE IS A MUSCLE does. This is my new gift for young women as they graduate from high school, college or when they seem a bit lost.

In less than two months, I have a 1/2 marathon to run. Rain, sickness and a busy schedule have left me feeling low and wary of this upcoming run. "Run Like a Girl" is the perfect read for me right now. It is inspiring and gets me up and out on those runs. It is nice to hear stories I can relate to and feel inspired by. So glad I bought this book at a crucial time for me.

This is an entertaining discussion of how to prepare a budget for making a low-budget (less than $2 million) movie by a producer with experience making low-budget and high budget films going back decades. If you are making a student film, this is a lot more detail than you'll probably need. If you are looking at making a real movie, something that isn't three of you with a nice camera, this is the book you need.My only regret is that I ordered the Kindle edition, instead of the paperback. There are a number of places where the paperback would actually be preferable because of the examples in the back.

As a screenwriter preparing to shoot his first major motion picture, I found this book to be incredibly helpful. The depth and detail at which it delivers its information is fantastic, but never leaves you shaking your head and feeling like you should be reading one of those "...For Dummies!" books. It does exactly what you would think the title implies; helps you plan your low-budget film, and it contains applicable templates for a myriad of situations; leaving no proverbial stone unturned in the process.

This book is very readable - the author uses several anecdotes to engage the reader, and also provides lots of hard facts, and excellent suggestions. If you are planning a film - buy this book.

I found out about this book quite by accident on Wikipedia, as so many people rely on expensive computer budgeting programs now. I refuse to shell out more big cash on programs and books. The D.I.Y. film information industry has become so bloated, you could spend so much money on materials, you could've made a feature film instead of buying more books on HOW to do it. But this is a really good book from an actual teacher who knows how to communicate. It's a secret self-published book that I'm glad I stumbled upon. As word-of-mouth spreads, I imagine many more people will find out about it.Anyway, now that the script is done five years later, I've been avoiding the idea of all this real work, hoping I could run a cute photo and a personal ad for a knight to ride in and save me. I didn't care if the knight was white or black or even abusive. But no dice. And since I have to do this anyway, I wanted to really learn the logic of how and why to break down and budget a script. It's a surprisingly easy read for such a dry subject and I'm carrying my copy around like a newly dog-eared pet, reading a little bit more each time. Good luck to both you and me!Update: I broke down and not only had to buy a program (which I still can't figure out six months later--if only Scott Billups would write every manual!)--but I also took a pre-production class with Debbie Brubaker, the line producer. Man, she is rock n' roll.

This is an outstanding piece of work. It is an entire course in Pre-Production Management all in one handy package. I have used it as a text for classes in Pre-Production a number of times and wouldn't teach my course without it.

I am enjoying Robert Latham Brown's Planning the Low-Budget Film. The first half introduces one to basic considerations in budgeting and scheduling a movie, with many anecdotes taken from Brown's experiences making movies for a variety of studios over the last thirty years. The second half is a virtual encyclopedia of film-making, organized according to the budget's chart of accounts. Brown educates the reader about each account, about the considerations involving that expense, in order to project how much money needs to be budgeted for it. A film production manager's job involves interfacing with so many aspects of the world that there is a lot to learn about reality from Brown's anecdotes and discussion of each budget account. He does not appear to hold anything back and is generous with his hard-won experience. For example, in a section titled Lindsley's Method in chapter 22 he shares a method he personally learned for tracking the film's progress - is it ahead of schedule or behind schedule? The book is suitable for film students, but should gradually find its way onto the desks, where it is close at hand, of every film production manager.

I have been associated with the film business for the last 20 plus years, and have not read a book that addresses the real world of Low-Budget film making as well as Robert L. Brown has captured. His book should be cumpulsory reading for every film student, and those who would like to understand the nuts and bolts of the business. Mr. Brown has managed to make his book entertaining while being informative. (Not an easy job when talking budgets etc.).Mr. Brown's years of experience in being one of the industries most respected producers has culminated in an interesting short-cut to understanding and Planning the Low-Budget Film process. It entertaining and full of insights and techniques for film production. In a way, Mr. Brown missed his calling. He is a gifted and extraordinary writer and teacher.

Her putting technique, with a break in the wrists, has been replaced as the greens improved and the speed greatly amplified. Otherwise you can build a game with this fine book alone. She is and was greatly admired as a golfer and as a person and surely as a communicator and story teller as this tidy instruction piece demonstrates. Oh what golf could do today with another unassuming and brilliant Mickey Wright.

The reason this book receives a high rating is not only was she a great player and had an outstanding swing she knew it so well she can explain in her words why it worked so well. Mr. Ben Hogan was quoted as saying Mickey Wright was the BEST golf swing he ever saw. Just looking at the pictures you can clearly see why he proclaimed it so.

Finally, a woman’s perspective on golf! This is generally an uncomplicated, step by step method. Good for beginners and others who need reminders of the basics.

One of the best golf swing books I have ever read and I own a bunch of these books, I wish there is a kindle version of this. The book has great illustrations and really helpful. It helped me a lot and I was able to shave some strokes off my game. I figured out the reason for my long problem of slicing, especially with longer irons. You do not have to slice as a right hander, this book can be very helpful in eliminating that slice problems.

It's not complicated, it's a simply golf swing , the book reminds me of the saying " keep it simple stupid". She doesn't tell you how to fix this or that , Mickey shows and tells you how to swing the wright way , just a one piece slow ,low ,wide swing back and a powerful motion forward . I loved the book and after reading I find myself standing taller over the ball and swinging harder with great results , I loved reading about her time on tour , but my main interest was the golf swing and nobody has a smoother swing than Mickey .

I had never heard of C. Peter Wagner prior to reading this book. I quickly learned that this book is filled with the 'meat' of the word of God. I found myself going back to the word of God over and over to make sure his claims were in line with the Bible. I have no doubt this book will cause discussion and even controversy..... any time the topic of wealth and God are brought up in the same breath you can bet that Satan is standing by ready to create doubt, fear, and confusion. God's word provides the answers about wealth that we might have, we just have to seek it out, and ask Him to give us the ears to hear His truth.As I read the book I really felt like it was a divine connection that this book came into my life when it did. I am grateful for the wisdom that was imparted in this book on the subject of wealth. It realigned and sharpened my focus for God's ways in my finances. It was a joy to read. When I was done with it, I felt empowered and more prepared for God to do a great and mighty work in my financial life. Nice job Dr. Wagner!

I would have given this book 5 stars if not for Ch. 10 and Wagner's erroneous belief that "The tithe is the first and most important step toward generous giving". The New Testament and the dispensation of grace contain no such statement supporting this belief. New testament believers with the Holy Spirit operating within them are as the apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:18 "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law" This leads me to question the credibility of other statements made throughout the book. However, the other chapters confirm much of what has already been revealed to me and my colleagues regarding the great wealth transfer. This book enables those of us who have an ear to hear to prepare for the coming changes to the church that are required in order for this transfer to occur and to be a part of the manifestation. I recommend reading this book and checking the scripture for oneself to hear directly from the Holy Spirit as to the correct scriptural interpretation of various passages.

I enjoyed reading this book because it clearly explains the "wealth transfer" concept that I was not familiar with. The author shares different stories of successful people and how God blessed them financially so they could help fund ministries in the United States and around the world.A must-read if you are curious as to how and why God blesses us with a profitable business or with an influential job.

Penny Billington has written a warm, accessible and wise book, based on her own extensive experience in Druidry and ritual magic. The emphasis here is on practical ways of being a Druid by doing what Druids do, and whenever necessary and appropriate, adapting the exercises she gives to one's own circumstances and capacities. Of course, no book can replace doing the work at hand, whether it's learning basic chords and fingerings as a guitarist, mastering the forms and patterns of a foreign language, or the art and science of breadmaking and brewing.But the author offers a great deal. As an active and longtime member of OBOD (the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids), and a student of the teaching of Dion Fortune (founder of Society for Inner Light, and one of the major figures in the authentic occult and magical tradition issuing from the U.K.), Billington draws on these streams, while shaping a coherent and profound entrance to Druidry. As she notes, you can walk the solitary path, or join a Druid organization. But making use of texts like this one can be a useful middle way. The book, as the author notes, is consciously in step with contemporary practice, annotated so that readers can check and verify sources for themselves, and brim-full of techniques and practices in keeping with the teachings of several modern Druid organizations. In each chapter, Billington includes an adaptation of a story from the Mabinogion, the Welsh collection of myth, legend and teaching which has wonderful relevance and serves as a storehouse of much Druid teaching. Sustained meditation on these stories will reveal much of use and value to the aspirant after a Druidry that is authentic simply because it is grounded in knowledge and practice.Billington also develops the idea of the three rays of knowledge, nature and devotion into a coherent and balanced teaching. I especially liked how, throughout the text, she raises at least as many questions as possible answers, and how in each chapter she points us toward finding our own answers, as a good teacher should. Finally, Billington's book is both orderly and spiraling, acknowledging that we return to the foundations, revisit the basics, at many different times in our journey, often to see them as new and fresh because it is we who have moved and changed and grown. Highly recommended.

In the past ten years or so many books on Druidry or druid spirituality have been published. This is not the best but far from the worst of the lot I have read. The scholarship is basically sound and in tune with the latest in archeology and analysis of what is known about the ancient Celtic peoples. Each "druid" book offers a slighty different 'take' on the modern practice, mostly offshoots of either the OBOD or ADF version. One can take their choice, combine aspects of both or forge off in new directions. This book can assist no matter which course one selects.

A beautiful book that gives wonderful insights into the Druidic path. I think anyone can benefit from reading this book for its honest respect for all of nature.

This book is very thoughtfully written and a great addition to any library.

This book reads easily; is not too simplistic, but also is not full of jargon. Great introduction to Druidry, whether your intentions are to begin to practice, you want to incorporate a new philosophy into your belief, or just to learn more about other practices and beliefs, this is a well written addition to your library.

I’m currently studying though OBOD and I got the audio book and after a few hours I knew I wanted the book it’s well worth the money especially if you are looking into joining OBOD
