This was a thorough and easy to use guide, and I highly recommend it to those planning a trip to Nova Scotia. I enjoyed the conversational tone of the book. In future editions, though, I hope the author would beef up his recommendations for lodging and restaurants. The book is adequate in this regard now, but it would have been helpful if a few other options were listed. More restaurant recommendations would have been particularly nice, but I realize that restaurants have a way of coming and going, which would mean the guide's information runs the risk then of becoming dated.
Nowhere near as helpful as Lonely Planet Guides. Minimal accommodation recommendations, especially in the lower price ranges. Not sure if that's because Nova Scotia has nothing or the book just doesn't include them. Very brief sections on each area. Wish I'd just gone with another Lonely Planet guide.
A comprehensive guide with interesting and accurate information, easy to carry. Recommended.
