William Abranowicz’s work is found in important collections throughout the world and has appeared in almost every major publication in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Each of the photographs in this book truly invite you into personal sanctuaries. The vibrant colors, unique styles, and timelessness in decor are such a treat! There are SO many that I love and a few of my favorites are those of John Mellencamp, Mayer Rus, Stephen Antonson, Cliff Fong, John Derian, G Kiss & C Lehrecke, and Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. Actually, I could go on and on... - William Abranowicz is a true American Original!!
Just got a copy of American Originals. To start, I’m not one to pour over images of interiors. But at once it’s clear this book is about something entirely different. The book is a visual feast - a binge - at first glance. But far more than a celebration of the visual arts, it is a fascinating study of the human urge to create beauty. The vignettes accompanying the images are intimate snapshots of accomplished individuals who perceive and express beauty with stunning originality. What a treasure!

American Originals provokes a sense of both nostalgia and comforting familiarity, inspiration and otherworldliness. This one gets center stage in my collection!

I was so pleasantly surprised when I received this book. The photographs and range of stories behind each person and their home are interesting and inspiring. The book is large with some heft to it -- and looks great on my coffee table. I have already purchased two more books as hostess gifts for the holidays.
There is so much to love about this book! The interiors are varied and incredible - there’s something for every aesthetic and taste. I could devour hundreds of times and find something new to focus on each time. Total design inspiration with lots of heart!
AMERICAN ORIGINALS is a joy to behold! The photographs take my breath away. They are beautiful, detailed and intimate. As I immerse myself in the photos I become part of the space, one in which I never want to leave. William Abranowicz is a visual and artistic genius!
